Hag 2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the
four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day
that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider
it.
Hag 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and
the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not
brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
I got to the office this morning, sat down and as I was about to
start work for the day something happened. My colleague
rushed into the office and pointed the above scripture to me.
I was amazed. This scripture actually points to today, the 24th
day of the ninth month and went further. It declared today as
the day of a new beginning, the day when the foundation of the
Lord’s temple was laid. A day of commencement of blessings.
Not withstanding the current happenings around the world, One
thing I am sure of is that when God says a thing, He must fulfill.
So welcome to the commencement of blessings upon our lives
for those who believe.

Rest could be defined as a state or period of refreshing
freedom from exertion.
I was in church today and it was yet again a wonderful and
mind blowing experience. There was a guest speaker who
spoke on faith and how we must believe in God to be able to
do what he said he will accomplish in us as well as through us.
I believe this was a good time to be reminded that indeed God
can and will do all what he said he would do in our lives. Read the rest of this entry »

The world is full of varieties. Diverse people and cultures. This
makes life so exciting and adventurous. There is so much out .
there to explore and discover. One can go over a lifetime
discovering amazing new things. A friend of mine told me a
story about an interesting culture of a particular tribe of Indians
that I like to share with you.
The Legend describes how a Cherokee Indian youth passes
from being a boy to becoming a man. In order to pass the test,
the boy’s father takes him to the middle of the forest just before
night fall. He then blind folds him and leaves him alone in that
forest to spend the night all by himself. Read the rest of this entry »

Several years ago, a preacher from another state accepted a
call to a church in Lagos, Nigeria. Some weeks after he
arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home on
the mainland to the island for a seminar. He paid for the fare
and was handed his change by the conductor.
When he sat down, he discovered that the conductor had
accidentally given him a hundred Naira extra change. As he
considered what to do, he thought to himself, “You’d better
give the money back. It would be wrong to keep it.” Read the rest of this entry »

I read an interesting story today about three trees and I will like
to share it with you.
Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were
discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said,
“Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled
with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with
intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.”
The second tree said, “Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will
take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners
of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the
strength of my hull.” The third tree said, “I want to grow to be the
tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top
of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens
and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the
greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.”
