The Future Movement
My site has been down for a couple of days, first it was hacked
and then I had to renew my subscription. Thanks to some very
nice people (Deolu Akinyemi and Anu Oluwadare), its back up.
A lot has happened over the past few days, we witnessed the
inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United
States of America, history was made and we were glad to be
alive to see it.
We also saw the reduction in the price of fuel (Premium Motor
Spirit PMS) to N65 per liter back home in Nigeria. The Yobe
State Governor also passed on, a great loss for the country and
Nigeria as a whole. I went to cut my hair yesterday and the barber
was arguing with a police officer. They argued on a number of issues
ranging from whether the police was as corrupt as other forces in the
country to why Bakassi Peninsula was sold or ceded to Cameroon.
I sat there listening to them argue back and forth, I reflected on the
issues they raised and something occurred to me. The major problem
we have in this country is that we complain and point out the things
that are wrong about our country and do not proffer solutions or
play any role in making our country better.
A number of voices are clamoring for a New Nigeria, working on
their own in little groups to preach the message of a New Nigeria.
A place where everything works and value is placed on the lives of
its citizens. Where we not just recite our National pledge but are
actually faithful, loyal and honest. A place where the strong help
the weak and we truly are our brothers keepers.
Picture Nigeria with uninterrupted power supply, good roads,
constant water supply, available jobs for its citizen and value
driven leaders who actually care about the growth of this Nation.
This is a future that I believe every Nigerian desires. And we as
a people can not sit back and fold our arms for this future to
emerge.
This future is being created today, a critical mass is being gathered.
this is the generation that will change this Country and we all have
a roll to play. Simply click on http://www.thefuturemovement.org/register
to become a member of a group of Nigerian’s who desire a change
and are willing to deliver the future. The New Nigeria Club and all
other groups and individuals who have similar objective are coming
together to unite their voices and be the change we seek.
At this point, all that is required of you is to become a member and
lend your voice as we cry out and take deliberate steps that will
affect our Nation positively. Deolu Akinyemi always says, ‘the best
time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is now’. Lets
deliver the future.
We can, we must and we will deliver the future.

As a man of honour i join hands with u in your pursuit. God bless u
Emore Ogho I have read your write up with so much interest and I must say that it is really encouraging and inspiring to have the youth of today think in this direction.I must let you know that I passionatel share in your views and dreams for a Nigeria comparable to the United States of the day.We must, as a matter of urgency, sell this point of view to every well meaning Nigerian especially the youth. It is even more encouraging that a handfull of well meaning youths have started this struggle for years now and have gained more steam.I know that a better day is surely ahead but a few willing Nigerians must pay the price to realise the dream Nigeria…………..God be with us
