A Will to Succeed

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with
certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The words above are an excerpt from the words of the United
States Declaration of Independence. It’s self explanatory and
states the basic things that we as human beings seek for. Every
one wants to live more and express his or herself freely, be free
to do anything and pursue any dream or aspiration. These are
noble and legitimate aspirations as long as there are no negative
intentions.
These lines were the central theme of a movie “The Pursuit of
Happyness”. The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American
biographical film about the on and off-homeless salesman-
turned stockbroker Christopher Gardner. He is a self-made
millionaire, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and philanthropist
who, during the early 1980s, struggled with homelessness while
raising his toddler son, Christopher, Jr.
Christopher Gardener did not have any positive male role model.
His father was absent and his stepfather was a violent man who
physically abused him and his mother regularly. Despite her unhappy
marriage, Gardner’s mother was a source of inspiration and strength.
She encouraged Gardner to believe in himself and sowed the seeds
of self-reliance in him.
Sounds a lot like the lives of most of us. We all have stories of
how most of us grew up. Probably a broken home or growing
up not having enough resources to comfortably see you through
school. Whatever challenges you faced on the way to where you
are only prepares you for what lye’s ahead. From the movie you
could see his desire to work and make sure he could get a place
for himself and his son to live.
It was obvious that if he didn’t work that hard he would fail and
also disappoint his Son. If there is an urgent need, our brains open
to ideas that we never knew existed. For example, if someone you
love very well is in danger and you need to raise a certain amount
to get him out, ideas will come and you will certainly come up with
the requirement. The challenge I have is being able to create this kind
of scenario constantly in trying achieve my goals.
There has to be a motivating factor or something that drives us to
achieve whatever we want to achieve. Chris attributed his success
to his mother and the expectations placed on him by his children.
This makes me appreciate the role of my family and loved ones in
helping me achieve and aspire to be a better person. The will to
succeed and seek expression to live a better life is in all of us, and
we can live our dreams if we work towards it.

There’s so much we can achieve in this life and we truly well endowed to achieve as much as we want.we need to have and work with the mind of scientists,who don’t rest,give up until they get things right and prove themselves or whatever they believe.Everything looks frustrating to some,especially when things don’t turn out the way you expect them,but you have to defend what you believe,no matter what it takes or how long.You must succeed in life,don’t relent,don’t stop now.Many have started with difficulties and uncertainties,but determination and a will to succeed,as well as a conviction that they can be better,has brought them to the limelight today.Do you really know OBAMA’S background,some of the people we admire today?They were once like you and I.They struggled,were intimidated,written off,nothing seemed to work,encountered many delays and as much and even more than you have experienced,but they ended up with a testimony.No matter were you stand,being through a lot,not too much,but broken and in despair,be determined to end with a testimony like these great men we know.thanks Ogho for the article,am challenged and determined to do more.

Thanks for a challenging message as this. It shows our good business isn’t to see what lies dimly at a distance but to do what lies clearly at hand and achieve success. That the tragedy of life isn’t that we die but what die inside us while we live.
