The Power of Creativity

I heard a story about a little boy who happened to be visually
impaired. There is so much I learnt from this story and I would
like to share it with you. A blind boy sat on the steps of a building
with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind,
please help.” He sat like that for quite some time expecting to get
some money from passers by who would be compassionate and
hand him some money. There were only a few coins in the hat
after about three hours.

Then a young man was walking by, he saw the young lad and
had compassion on him. He took a few coins from his pocket
and dropped them into the hat. He took a second look at the
boy and the sign and he got an idea. He then took the sign,
turned it around, and wrote some words on it. He put the
sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new
