I watched an amazing 5 minute video today. Believe me,
those five minutes were so inspiring that you could write a
book about it. It was a video about a woman without arms.
She is married to a man who I believe loves her just the way
she is and guess what….she has a child.

The first thought that came to my mind was that, what does
her husband think about her. He loves her and says she’s
very beautiful and determined. Then the next question was,
how will she raise a child without arms? Well as I watched
this was quickly answered.

She uses her feet to do everything, and she does it so well
that you will think she is using her hand. She said she used
to baby sit before, but it did not compare to the job of a full
time mom. One thing that was significant was that she knew
she could take care of the child and also she worked towards
it. She goes for shopping, drives and changes her baby
clothes.

While most people can’t get over their difficulties, here’s a
young lady making the best out of what looks like a bad
situation. Instead of complaining or taking to the streets to
beg, she has a family she is taking care of and runs a small
business. She types with her feet and works on her PC. She
does the same things that every other human being does.

Its not all rosy for her, she tries to do things herself and
sometimes faces opposition. For example, she gave an instance
when she went to the movies and the guy refused taking her
ticket because she used her leg to give it to him. This will make
anyone fill sad and down. But she is not moved, she continues
to fight and win her battles daily.

She has tried using artificial arms but in her words, “they only
get in my way”. She is comfortable without them, and I believe
that is a result of the fact that she can use her feet very well.
In spite of all the challenges and all what she can do, she has
never thought for once of giving up. She ended by saying,

“I will like to encourage other people that if there is a will there
is a way. You don’t have to sit on your desk and fill sorry for
yourself, you can go out there and make something of yourself
and live a fulfilled life like everyone else”

There is no excuse not to be whatever you want to be. There is
no reason to hold yourself back from being outstanding. Make a
decision today to live your life with zeal and purpose. If not for
anyone else, do it for God.
