I was in a radio program yesterday to speak on the New
Nigeria. Actually a five minute demo for the program that will
run on Eko FM from Monday’s through Friday at 7:45 AM.
The program will be titled “The PATRIOTIC Nigerian. Where
PATRIOTIC is broken down into;

P = Problem Solver
A = Aspirational
T = Timely
R = Role Models
I = Integrity
O = Outstanding
T = Trustworthy
I = Impactful
C = Compassionate

I had previously derived a daily declaration from this letters and
it goes like this;

“I am not a problem to solutions, but I am a Problem Solver.
I am an Aspirational and Timely, Role-Model with Integrity.
I am Outstanding and Trustworthy. I am a Nigerian who will
Impact this nation and with Compassion I will affect one life
and remain PATRIOTIC” … Emore Ogho

As these words came to my mind again. and I got some fresh insight
that I will like to share. As I was typing, I noticed that I could see
only the letters I was looking for immediately. This implies that I can
not find what I am not looking for. This in turn means that I have to
know exactly what I want and I will keep noticing the opportunities
to take advantage or achieve what I want.

The New Naija Club is a social network of youths (young at heart)
who believe in the possibilities as well as the emergence of a New
Nigeria and are constantly looking for ways to make this happen.
Since the birth of this idea, we have constantly seen opportunities
to be the change we seek. We have taken as much of these
opportunities as we could.

In line with some of our objectives, we have been able to perform
various forms of charity (the strong helping the weak) and also
re-orientation in schools which is integral to achieving our dreams
of a New Nigeria. Members also enjoy the benefits available to
them as special citizens.

There is indeed a need for all Nigerian’s to come together and
make this nation a better place. No one will do it for us, its left to
us to make the difference and become the most desirable nation
to live in. I do not think this will happen in the future, I believe this
Nigeria is the most desirable nation to live in.

The fact that we have so much to work on gives us the opportunity
to make nation building a win win proposition. This is because in
building the nation, you have the chance to do the right thing and
earn a living from it. I do not think there is a better job than this. I
am not referring to looting of Government funds that has been
witnessed in the past, but a genuine will to make things right.

This program will indeed be an interesting one. The listeners will
have an opportunity to make contributions and join in the achievement
of the dream of a New Nigeria. It truly pays to build the nation.
