The War Within

wwrw1.jpg

I have often wondered why people do what they do. It could
either be good or bad, however the motive behind it is what
matters to me. For example, why will one break the law or
take another human life. Emotions such as love, anger, greed
could make us act the way we do.

Event + Reaction = Outcome

In every event, there is a reaction and the reaction determines
the outcome. From this equation, you could see clearly that
you can not change the outcome. However there is one part
you can change and that’s the reaction. Your reaction to any
event is what matters. So it will make a lot of sense if we take
a minute to think things through before we react.

I some times look back at some events and how I reacted to
them. The choices I’ve made truly have formed my life. I have
good memories that I cherish and also I have the ones I want
to change. I know I can’t change them so I try not to make
the same mistakes in the future.

Speaking of mistakes, why do I find myself doing the things
that I do not want to do and after doing them I feel pained
with so much regret asking myself why did I do that?
I take responsibility for my actions and try to fight the part
of me that does the things I do not want to do. A tough battle
that goes on within me that I often win, however some of
these battles overwhelm me.

What then can I do to change this? I have a picture of where
I want to be and the kind of life I want to live. I also know that
getting there requires working smart and being focussed on my
goal. I also know that these internal battles cannot be won by
will power alone. There has to be something extra, I have a
guide that keeps me in check, my mentor. However this is
only the first check.

The next check which I see as the ultimate is the Almighty. He
understands and wants to help out. He has given me so many
chances and has raised me up so I can stand on mountains. He
has seen me through the storms of life and never given up on
me. I know that the purpose of my life is much greater than my
life. I can not live for me, I am where I am for a reason and I
must fulfill my purpose.

I am not where I am because I am better or smarter. I will not
achieve greatness because I have what it takes and the tools to
do so. All of this will happen because;

“I AM GOD’S PROJECT, AND GOD NEVER FAILS”
