A tale of love

I read an interesting story that got me thinking. It reflects some
events that may have occurred in our lives. Not exactly the
same scenario, but something similar. I also heard that its a true
life story, this made it more touching. It goes like this;

A boy and a girl, probably his girlfriend were speeding down the
road on a motorbike. The girl was apparently scared and said, Continue Reading »

Power of Gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos into order,
confusion into clarity . . .
It turns problems into gifts,
failures into success,
the unexpected into perfect timing, and
mistakes into important events.

Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today, and
creates a vision for tomorrow.

Stock Market Update - 23/05/08

The stock market generally began a decline. This could be
attributed to the liquidity squeeze in the economy. However with
the 2008 budget being signed into law, the N400 billion excess
crude fund as well as N2 trillion that will be injected into the
economy by the CBN, it is expected that the Stock market will
certainly recover from this regression. Continue Reading »

All for One and ……..

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the
farmer and his wife open a package. What food might this
contain?” The mouse wondered - he was devastated to
discover it was a mousetrap. Retreating to the farmyard, the
mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the
house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said,
“Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is
of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it. “The mouse
turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!” The pig sympathized, but said,
I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about
it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.”  Continue Reading »

Resolving The Crash

I got home that night asking so many questions. How did I
attract this and why me o? I thought of many scenario’s and
in the process, I slept of. Funny enough I dreamt that night
of fixing the car and it was at the man’s expense. I woke up
feeling tired because I had to get to work that morning.

I got up thanked God for yet another day and got ready for
work. I left the house still feeling weak and found my way to
the office. Immediately I got into the office, my colleague who
was with me the previous day asked me if I had heard from
the man and his wife. The answer was negative. I was about
preparing for a meeting when my phone rang… Continue Reading »

Crash

crsh.jpg

It was a cool Sunday evening, yesterday to be precise. I had
closed from Church and went to see a movie. On my way
back, my friend and I decided to have fish barbecue. So we
parked and were chilling for it to get prepared. It was
prepared and we were chatting and eating, preparing for the
challenges of the week ahead.

We had certain projects we were working on and we were so
excited on the opportunities that were available and the ones
we were opportuned to take advantage of. A private placement
that we sold had just been listed; Investment and Allied
Assurance. People who took advantage of this opportunity have
a lot to smile about because they had gained a lot and it is still at
its lowest point. Continue Reading »

The War Within

wwrw1.jpg

I have often wondered why people do what they do. It could
either be good or bad, however the motive behind it is what
matters to me. For example, why will one break the law or
take another human life. Emotions such as love, anger, greed
could make us act the way we do.

Event + Reaction = Outcome

In every event, there is a reaction and the reaction determines
the outcome. From this equation, you could see clearly that
you can not change the outcome. However there is one part
you can change and that’s the reaction. Your reaction to any
event is what matters. So it will make a lot of sense if we take
a minute to think things through before we react. Continue Reading »

A Novice Guide to Applying the Secret

isk1.jpg

“Take the first step in faith, you do not have to see the
whole staircase, just take the first step”
…..Martin Luther King

The first step to take is to ask. You create a mental picture of
what you want in your mind and by constantly focusing on it
you are attracting it and you have also asked for it. The next
step is to believe. If you hold that thought in your mind, you
have to believe that it will actually become a reality. The events
that may follow might make it seem impossible and make you
have doubts, however remain focussed and believe. Continue Reading »
