In the course of last week, a lot of things happened. Apart
from the GTBank job, I started learning something new. I
have always avoided swimming, I always find a way of
staying away from the pool or the river. However I decided
to learn how to swim and it has been a new and exciting
experience for me.

I was in Illorin on Friday for a seminar and I spoke on
“Understanding how money works” and focussed on
making money work for you. The most important factor
in understanding money to me is that you must add value
to be able to attract wealth. Another important factor to
note is that, the number of people you add value to, is
proportional to the amount of income you can earn.

Lets take Mark Zuckerberg for example, he is the youngest
self made billionaire in the world. How did he do it? Through
facebook. He developed a way by which you get to meet old
friends and new ones, a way to keep in touch. How many lives
is he adding value to? Millions or even billions. If each one of us
pays a dollar for his services, that will amount to millions and
billions of dollars.

The fact that I was away for the weekend made me unable to go for
my swimming classes. I was doing considerably well but on getting to
the pool on Monday, I discovered that I was not as confident as I
used to be. The reason for this is that, I did not practice for a couple
of days. Continuous practice will make you better in any thing you
do.

What exactly will make you attract money is your ability to make
money work for you. There is a financial intelligence course titled
“Billionaires In Training” coming up this weekend at Blue Ribbon
hotel Allen Avenue Ikeja. The aim is to re-awaken the financial
genius in you. We need to constantly practice and have a reminder
on the need to take advantage of the opportunities around us. Let
us remember that in order to make money you have to add value.
Go all out and find a way of affecting lives positively, look for a
problem to solve.
