Reflections

It was an interesting weekend for me. I re-united with my
family and had interesting conversations with my brothers. I
had not been with them for so long, we only communicated
on phone. I was excited because it afforded me the
opportunity to learn a lot and share some of my experiences
as well as the current opportunities that are
available.

The main reason for the season was the death of Jesus for
us on the cross which is the reason why we can live a life of
fulfillment and abundance. Christ took upon Himself all our
sins and paid the price for us to be free. Sometimes we really
should think about this sacrifice. It will help us see things
differently and most of our actions might also be affected by
the thought of how a sinless man had so much compassion to
give himself as a sacrifice to set us free from sin.

Today most people only think about themselves. You think
of satisfying only your problems and having enough to make
yourself comfortable. This is very good, however in solving
other peoples problem and adding value to peoples lives will
not only add financial value to your life but also build a
relationship of trust and confidence between you and all those
you helped.

The exemplary life of Christ teaches us to be selfless. Every
thing He did here on earth was for us. He never cared about
Himself. The greatest Man in history. He had no servants yet
they called Him master. He had no degree yet they called Him
teacher. He had no medicines yet they called Him healer. He
had no army yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles
yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they
crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

I believe that He has a purpose for each of us. I had an
opportunity to reflect on this and I will work towards fulfilling
this purpose. I try as much as possible to live right everyday
and to help and add value to people’s lives as much as I can
and by God’s grace of course. Doing anything in the contrary
will only set us back.

“Without deep reflection one knows from daily life that one
exists for other people”.
